Hey there, my name is Mike Munter and I operate Affordable Reputation Management. And one problem we see alot of when clients call us for reputation management is that their Google autocomplete is messed up.
What is Google Autocomplete?
Google autocomplete are the suggestions that you see when you begin to type your name or business name into Google. And the problem with it is if there’s a negative suggestion there like, “scam” or “ripoff,” people are going to click on that out of curiousity and it brings up all the negative content about you.
So, often the first thing we do before we start a reputation management campaign is we fix the Google autocomplete problem first, so that there are only positive suggestions for you. Because that’s the first thing people are going to see when they search for you. Before they even get to the search results, they’re going to see all these suggestions.
How is Google Autocomplete fixed?
So, the question is, “How do we fix it?”
The way we fix it is simple. We perform searches and we build positive search activity for positive terms about you or your business until that [positive] search activity outweighs the negative term.
So, let’s say you’ve got 20 searches a month for your name + arrest, for example. All we have to do is search 10 or 15 terms for positive terms and get more than 20 searches a month. And then once Google recognizes that those searches are being made, it figures them into the auto suggest algorithm and the suggestions about you change.
So, if you have any questions about that or if you need help changing it, this is what we do. We’re very affordable and great to work with 🙂 My number is 503-890-6663.
